Mohammed Shami Hilariously Trolls Harsha Bhogle (VIDEO)-TGN

With the World Cup 2023 just around the corner, and his place not certain in India’s best XI, Mohammed Shami roared back to form with a sensational five-wicket haul in the 1st ODI against Australia on Friday.

At the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali, Mohammed Shami returned with figures of 10-1-51-5, which helped India restrict Australia for 276 runs, which seems just a par total on a good pitch.

After taking the five-fer – which is only his second ODI five-wicket haul – Shami spoke with the commentator Harsha Bhogle and gave a cheeky reply to Bhogle.

Bhogle asked Shami: “Pehle 3 overs ke baad zara garmi mehsoos ho rhi thi?” (Were you feeling the heat after bowling your first 3 overs?)

Mohammed Shami cheekily replied: “Haan Shayad Aap Log Toh AC Mein The, Hum Log Bahar The, Garmi Toh Hai” (you guys are sitting in the AC rooms, we are playing in the heat).

Bhogle buffed it with some laughter and Shami too had a smile after his quirky response.

Shami’s five-fer was also the first five-wicket haul from an Indian pacer in India since 2007

In the first over itself, Shami dismissed the dangerous Mitchell Marsh. In his second spell, he knocked over Steve Smith, who looked set for a big one. In his death overs spell, Shami first bowled the powerful finisher Marcus Stoinis and then completed his five-for with wickets of Short and Abbott, two very capable hitters.

In the Asia Cup 2023, Mohammed Shami had found himself on the bench in the important games as India went with Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, and Shardul Thakur. Shami’s performance today might force the management to pick him over Thakur in the World Cup next month.
