A new group of character posters for Ahsoka showcases the heroes of Star Wars Rebels in live-action. When it was confirmed that Ahsoka would feature the characters of Star Wars Rebels, many wondered how the latter’s various appearances would translate from animation to live-action. The official trailers for Ahsoka have offered looks at Sabine Wren and Hera Syndulla, though the clearest depiction of the characters yet has been revealed.

In a post on Star Wars‘ official Twitter account, character posters for Rebels‘ Sabine Wren and Hera Syndulla have been revealed. The posters were released alongside the one for the titular character released at the same time as Ahsoka‘s official trailer. Showcasing live-action Hera and Sabine against a backdrop emulative of Star Wars‘ World Between Worlds, the posters offer the best look yet at the heroes of Star Wars Rebels in live-action, building anticipation ahead of the upcoming Ahsoka show’s release date.

Ahsoka Is Star Wars Rebels Season 5 – But In Live-Action

The posters for Sabine and Hera make one thing even more clear than it was before, Ahsoka is Star Wars Rebels season 5. When Ahsoka was first announced, it was assumed that the show would simply follow on from The Mandalorian season 2. While this is the case, subsequent reveals and marketing around Ahsoka have revealed how closely the show will tie into Dave Filoni’s prior project.

From the inclusion of Grand Admiral Thrawn as the villain to Hera, Sabine, Ezra Bridger, Chopper, and likely Zeb all appearing in Ahsoka, it is more clear than ever that Filoni is using the show to continue the story of Star Wars Rebels only in live-action. While Zeb has not been seen in any of the show’s marketing, his appearance in The Mandalorian season 3 hints he could crop up in Ahsoka‘s story. Regardless, the character posters for Ahsoka bring two of Star Wars Rebels’ core characters to live-action Star Wars.
