Ahsoka star Rosario Dawson is taking a clear stance on the current SAG-AFTRA strike. The upcoming and long-awaited Star Wars series premieres on August 23. Due to the rules of the actors’ strike, Dawson and her fellow actors are unable to promote the series.

While speaking with Empire Magazine, Dawson is asserting her full support of the strikes and the changes that need to happen within the entertainment industry, even when it means being unable to promote her own show. Read her comments below:

“I think one of the critical aspects of this particular fight, and why I feel it’s so strong, is because we all just watched the whole planet shut down for Covid. We watched everything stop on a dime and pivot. So, the idea that we can’t change how things are because that’s the way it’s always been and always will be, we all collectively know that’s BS.”

“With the advancement of Al as well, there’s a lot to be questioned, communicated and talked about. We need to protect people going forwards.””

More to come…
