Alan & Kandi actors from Two & A Half Men reunite to fight for fair pay for actors -TGN

Two and a half Men stars Jon Cryer and April Bowlby have reunited as part of the SAG-AFTRA strike. Cryer played Alan Harper, one of the title roles of the long-running sitcom, and was the only actor to appear in all 262 episodes. Bowlby appeared opposite Cryer in 17 episodes as Kandi, who is introduced as a girlfriend to Charlie Harper (Charlie Sheen) before dating and eventually marrying Alan, though they soon divorce.

On his official Twitter account, Jon Cryer shared a photo from the picket lines at the SAG-AFTRA strike, with members of the Screen Actors Guild striking for fair compensation and regulation of the use of artificial intelligence.

Cryer’s post includes a photo of herself arm-in-arm with Bowlby. The caption reads “Alan and Kandi reunited many years later to BRING THE CORPORATE FATCATS!

This reunion of two and a half men was a long time coming

Bowlby and Cryer haven’t really reunited since Two and a half Men went off the air in 2015, at least on screen. They came closest during a “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover episode of the Arrowverse series DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, on which Cryer appeared as the infamous DC supervillain Lex Luthor. In an uncredited appearance, Bowlby was briefly seen as her character Doom patrol character Rita Farr, although the two do not interact.

In addition to playing Lex Luthor in 20 episodes of super girlCryer has appeared in series, among other things The Kominsky method And Ryan Hansen solves crimes on television. Bowlby has also appeared The big bang theory, heatherAnd Tacoma FD.

It may be appropriate that the Two and a half Men stars should pay tribute to two of their most iconic roles during their strike. The SAG-AFTRA strike, which sees unionists strike and shut down productions around the world, is intended to remind studios how important the work of actors is to the future of the entertainment industry. By recalling their hit television series, they remind studios of how much power they have to capture audience attention and potential revenue.
