Aquaman’s new DCEU costume revealed at Comic-Con ahead of Lost Kingdom release -TGN

Jason Momoa’s new Aquaman costume will be revealed ahead of San Diego Comic-Con Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom‘s release. Momoa’s first solo DCEU film from 2018 Aquarius, became a great success for DC. The film exceeded expectations, capitalizing on positive word of mouth and little competition at the box office due to its December release grossing over $1 billion during its run. Now that the DCEU ends with the movie, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom‘s story promises to contain a number of surprises, including a new costume for Momoa.

The first look at Momoa’s updated bronze costume from Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom can be seen at San Diego Comic-Con. Check out ScreenRant’s photos of the costume in the gallery below.

Aquaman’s updated bronze suit looks perfect in the photo, and while at first glance the suit resembles the original movie version of it, there are some notable differences between the two.

Any change to Jason Momoa’s gold Aquaman costume

Aquaman and the Lost KingdomMomoa’s updated gold suit has some new elements that differ from the original version of the suit from Momoa’s first solo movie as the hero. For example, Aquaman’s new gold costume has different gauntlets, with the original suit containing many studded finger guards, while the new version of Aquaman’s classic comic book suit only has three.

On top of that, the redesigned chest armor of the new suit has a design with square pectoral muscles instead of the round shape of the original. Aquaman and the Lost KingdomMomoa’s gold suit also includes shoulder pads that are separate from the armor’s chainmail – seen in Momoa’s costume test for Aquariusas shared by @TaurooAldebaran — which differs from the more linear style of the original film’s suit. That change makes the updated suit stand out more.

The updated gold costume also gives Aquaman five armor plates on the side of each thigh, instead of the four in the original suit. There is also a difference in the material seen in the thighs and codpiece of the suit, with the new Aquaman costume’s codpiece not having hexagonal scales. Finally, the updated Aquaman suit also had his boots and forearm armor pins significantly toned down. All in all, the changes to Momoa’s gold costume are exciting, raising the anticipation of seeing it in motion Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
