A Barbie actor joins a small group of stars with multiple movies in the billion-dollar club. Released in theaters on July 21, the same day as Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, Greta Gerwig’s Barbie movie has dominated the box office on its way to crossing the $1 billion mark in only its third weekend in theaters. The film, which follows Barbie and Ken on journeys of self-discovery, is led by Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling and features a star-studded supporting cast that includes Kate McKinnon, Issa Rae, Simu Liu, Michael Cera, Rhea Perlman, Will Ferrell, America Ferrera, and Ariana Greenblatt.

Now, with the Barbie box office crossing $1 billion worldwide, an actor has joined an exclusive group with multiple movies in the billion-dollar club. As pointed out by @cinemaxwell on Twitter, Ariana Greenblatt has joined the list of actors who have appeared in multiple movies that grossed $1 billion dollars. Greenblatt, who plays Sasha in Barbie and young Gamora in Avengers: Infinity War, joins the list with the distinction of having been in multiple $1 billion movies from different franchises. Interestingly enough, Gamora actress Zoe Saldana did the same with her roles in the MCU and Avatar.

Other Actors With Multiple Movies In The Billion-Dollar Club

With his roles in Star Wars and the MCU, Samuel L. Jackson dominates the billion-dollar club with a total of ten movies. Andy Serkis, who has also starred in both franchises in addition to Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit, comes in second with seven. The rest of the list is dominated by other MCU actors, including Avengers stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, and Tom Holland. Star Wars also has a strong showing with Ewan McGregor, Anthony Daniels, and Warwick Davis on the list.

Vin Diesel (Fast & Furious/MCU) and Chris Pratt (MCU/Jurassic World) are two more actors with multiple movies from different franchises in the billion-dollar club. While the list is littered with more MCU actors like Don Cheadle, Paul Bettany, and Cobie Smulders, one surprise appearance is John Ratzenberger, an actor best known for Cheers who’s a four-timer in the billion-dollar club due to voicing various characters in Pixar’s Toy Story series, Incredibles 2, and Finding Dory. At 15 years old, Greenblatt is the youngest actor on this list, suggesting the Barbie star has a bright future ahead of her.
