Summary

  • Jaclyn Smith and Kate Jackson, stars of Charlie’s Angels, reunited in a rare photo at Smith’s son’s wedding.

  • Jaclyn Smith has remained active in the industry, with recent appearances on The CW’s All American and the 2019 Charlie’s Angels movie.

Charlie’s Angels stars Jaclyn Smith and Kate Jackson have reunited in a rare photo opportunity. The original Charlie’s Angels series, which followed a trio of female private detectives, ran on ABC for five seasons from 1976 through 1981. Smith played Kelly Garrett on all five seasons while Jackson played Sabrina Duncan for the first three seasons before exiting the series and being replaced by Shelley Hack as Tiffany Welles in season 4.

On Instagram, Jaclyn Smith shared a video from the wedding of her son Gaston.

In the video, Smith can be seen posing with Jackson. This marks the first time that the pair have reunited publicly since 2006, when they were photographed with the late season 1 star Farrah Fawcett at the Emmys.

What Jaclyn Smith and Kate Jackson Have Done Since Charlie’s Angels

After exiting Charlie’s Angels in 1979, Kate Jackson continued working until she stepped away from acting in 2007 following an appearance in an episode of Criminal Minds. In the interim, she starred in movie and television titles including Topper, 88 episodes of Scarecrow and Mrs. King, and A Kidnapping in the Family. She has not appeared onscreen in any capacity since the 2009 documentary Farrah’s Story.

Jaclyn Smith, on the other hand, has continued to work up to the time of writing. Her most recent appearance has been on two episodes of The CW’s All American, which is one of the few shows from the network that has been renewed for the 2023-2024 season. Other roles she has taken on include playing the former First Lady in the 1981 TV movie Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy, reprising her role as Kelly in 2003’s Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, and appearing on 13 episodes of The District.

Smith was also the only original cast member to reprise her role in the Charlie’s Angels 2019 cast. She appeared as Kelly Garrett in a mid-credits sequence where she congratulates Naomi Scott’s Elena for becoming an official Angel and reveals herself to be the new “Charlie.” Considering the fact that she and Jackson have reunited so many years later, Charlie’s Angels still looms large over their collective history.
