Disappointed Fans Have Given Rahul Dravid A New Nickname-TGN

Fans were delighted when Rahul Dravid took over the reins from Ravi Shastri as team India’s head coach, but the results have been clearly the opposite. Indian head coach Rahul Dravid, who was once hailed as the wall of Indian cricket, has failed to impress the Indian cricket fans as the head coach.

In fact, Rahul Dravid has come under the scanner big time for doing too many experiments with the team’s playing XI. Not only this, Asia Cup 2022 debacle, T20 World Cup 2022 semi-final defeat, WTC 2023 Final loss, injuries to key players, losing to West Indies for the first time in nine ODIs, and now a defeat in the T20I game, there are many reasons why fans are not happy with the performance of Team India under Dravid.

With just two months before the World Cup, team India incurred their first loss in nine games in the ODI format. The game also gave a reality check to the fans that the team isn’t ready for the marquee tournament.

From resting key players like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, especially ahead of ODI World Cup 2023, to promoting Axar Patel to number 4 — too many experiments have led to team India’s downfall over the last few months. Fans and experts alike were not at all pleased with the way team India is failing big time under head coach Rahul Dravid and captain Rohit Sharma.

Fans especially came down hard on the head coach. While many have called for Dravid’s immediate sacking from the position of head coach, a few fans felt disappointed with the results under India’s one of the finest players. Some of the disappointed fans have come up with a new nickname for Dravid – “Professor Rahul Dravid”.
