Elon Musk reveals rebranding Twitter as X – and what he wants us to call a tweet now -TGN

Elon Musk has unveiled a rebrand of Twitter with a large X logo.

Twitter CEO Linda Yaccarino “tweeted” an image of the company’s apparently new logo blasted onto the side of its headquarters in San Francisco, California.

“Lights. Camera. X!” she wrote.

It comes after Elon Musk spent the weekend teasing an upcoming rebrand of the social media site he bought for $44bn (£38bn) last October.

The richest man in the world has long spoken about his desire to launch “X, the everything app”, even before the acquisition of Twitter.

Musk also posted an image of the company’s new logo on a building – and when asked what tweets would be called now – he said “x’s”.
