King Shark Fans “Will Not Be Disappointed” By Harley Quinn Season 4 After Smaller Season 3 Role-TGN

Summary

  • Season 4 of Harley Quinn will feature more of King Shark, with a new side of his character explored and a new position in the Legion of Doom.

  • King Shark’s storyline in this season will focus on his journey into fatherhood and the challenges he faces as a single parent.

  • King Shark’s evolution as a character will involve shifting his skills from physical strength to utilizing his technical abilities for the Legion of Doom, while still finding support from Harley and Ivy.

Harley Quinn supervising producer, Cecilia Aranovich Hamilton, promises even more King Shark in season 4. King Shark is part of Harley Quinn’s original crew and has been a close friend to Harley, Ivy, and Clayface through each of their tumultuous journeys. He wasn’t as prominent in the third season. However, season 4 seems to be setting up an exciting new arc for the villains.

In an exclusive interview with Screen Rant for Harley Quinn season 4 at San Diego Comic-Con, Hamilton assured fans there will be more King Shark. She teases that a new side of King Shark will be explored, along with a new position in the Legion of Doom. Hamilton also discusses King Shark’s more family-oriented mindset, which the first few episodes of the season set up. Check out Hamilton’s full quote below:

Cecilia Aranovich Hamilton: You will not be disappointed. You’re going to see plenty of King Shark, and I think the nice thing about him is our characters are never one-dimensional. They never stay in one place. They always evolve, and they always grow. And I think we’re going to get to see a side of King Shark this season that we haven’t really seen before. He’s going to be more of the family man who has to get a job. And he becomes the IT guy in the Legion of Doom. So, I think it’s fun to explore new sides of the characters in each season.

How King Shark’s New Storyline Will Show A New Side Of The Villain

Harley Quinn season 4 sees each character on a new path, with Ivy taking a leadership role in the Legion of Doom, Harley becoming part of the Batfamily, and Bruce Wayne in jail. King Shark is also on an exciting new journey: fatherhood. In the third episode, King Shark becomes a father to a number of newborn sharks. He has sole responsibility for them after the mother claims only the firstborn before returning to the ocean.

King Shark has always acted as the support system for his friends, either by stepping into the fight or lending a sympathetic ear, but now he’ll need to shift those skills to fatherhood. In Harley Quinn season 4, King Shark’s priorities will change going forward as he does everything he can to raise his children to the best of his abilities, especially because he will likely want to avoid mistakes he feels his own parents made. However, it seems he won’t be walking a new path like Harley; he will utilize his technical skills for the Legion of Doom instead of his physical ones.

Harley and Ivy are navigating a relationship between a hero and a villain, which introduces a whole new dynamic to Harley Quinn. King Shark’s storyline can open up new possibilities as well. King Shark will need to adjust to being a single parent, and with both Harley and Ivy being godparents, they could become the support he needs after he has helped them so many times.
