There is a continuous outlook for bowlers who can bat as well. And that’s when Yuzvendra Chahal and Ashwin were optimistic. NZ market specialists say it did jar, as Ashwin is more capable of scoring as a batsman.

The greatest match-winners of India playing for the home World Cup will undoubtedly raise the bar. It is good news that the management is evaluating the players and rethinking their decisions.

Off-spinner Sundar was included and participated in the Asia Cup against Sri Lanka. However, he didn’t get to bat or bowl. If needed, he might also be added to the World Cup squad.

Rohit is confident about Ashwin’s experience; he won’t hamper the performance if he comes up to play.

He added, “Ashwin is a consistent player in the test matches. It is a good option to have an experienced bowler on board for the World Cup if required. He has been playing comparatively well recently.”
