Insidious: The Red Door is now available to watch on VOD after spending just over three weeks in theaters. Directed by star Patrick Wilson, Insidious: The Red Door is the fifth installment in the successful Blumhouse horror franchise. The latest film sees Wilson’s Josh Lambert and his family go deeper into The Further than ever have before when demons return to haunt them.

Now, a new tweet from Fandango shares an extended look at Insidious: The Red Door and reveals that the sequel is now available to watch on Vudu.

In addition to the Vudu link and extended clip featured in the tweet above, the new film is also available to rent or buy on iTunes. It’s not yet available to be played on Google Play, but this will likely change over the next few weeks.

How Did Insidious: The Red Door Do At The Box Office?

The first installment to be directed by Wilson, Insidious: The Red Door‘s early reviews were quite mixed, with the film currently holding a lackluster 38% on Rotten Tomatoes. Despite the film not totally striking a chord with critics, it ended up exceeding box office expectations. The film took the number one spot at the box office during its opening weekend, making an impressive $32.6 million.

This opening weekend box office feat is made all the more impressive considering the fact that the horror flick had a production budget of only $16 million, the highest of the franchise. Further adding to the film’s success, Insidious: The Red Door faced some stiff competition at the box office in the form of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. Insidious 5 beat Indiana Jones 5‘s second weekend box office total of $26.5 million by a significant margin, a welcome surprise for Blumhouse.

Wilson himself would subsequently take to Twitter after the victory over Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, praising his cast and crew for bringing their “A game” to the project. Insidious: The Red Door has currently made over $174 million worldwide, making it the most successful entry in the franchise so far. While it doesn’t sound like Insidious 6 will be happening anytime soon, fans of the franchise can now revisit the scares of the fifth and potentially final installment from the comfort of their own homes.
