(Viral) MS Dhoni Teams Up With South Actor Mohanlal For Ad Shoot-TGN

With no cricket in the immediate future for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni, the 42-year-old spent considerable time in the USA for a family vacation, from which he returned to Mumbai recently.

Dhoni, who is recovering from a knee surgery, also then partnered with south superstar actor Mohanlal Viswanathan for an advertisement shoot for Indigo Paints. Mohanlal Viswanathan is one of the biggest names in the south movie industry; he’d done movies in Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada.

The pictures of MS Dhoni and Mohanlal from the ad shoot went viral on social media with fans hailing the duo for their stardom.

“Two LEGENDS in one Frame!” a fan tweeted.

Talking about MS Dhoni, the 42-year-old CSK skipper underwent knee surgery soon after winning his and CSK’s 5th IPL in IPL 2023. In the IPL 2023 final, in Ahmedabad, CSK defeated the Gujarat Titans in an epic final that went to the last-ball with Ravindra Jadeja hitting a 6 and a 4 to propel CSK to their 5th title.

Dhoni himself also hinted that he will feature in next year’s IPL too. To be 100 percent fit, he opted to have knee surgery about a couple of weeks after the completion of the IPL 2023 final. This will allow him enough time to rehab and recover by the end of this year and start his training and net session soon.

MS Dhoni had retired from international cricket in 2020, over a year after he last played for India in the 2019 World Cup. He has continued to feature in the IPL for CSK.

About his return next year, Dhoni had said “The tough thing for me is to work hard for another nine months and come back and play at least one more season of IPL. But a lot depends on the body, I have six-seven months to decide and it will be more like a gift from my side (to the fans). It’s not easy for me but the way they’ve shown their love and affection, that’s something I need to do for them.”
