Oppenheimer’s controversial sex scenes defended by Star: “They’re not unnecessary” -TGN

Oppenheimer star Cillian Murphy defends the inclusion of several controversial sex scenes in Christopher Nolan’s new historical drama. Released last week to positive reviews and a strong showing at the box office, Nolan’s new film stars Murphy as J. Robert Oppenheimer, one of the key figures in the creation of the atomic bomb. The film is Nolan’s first to receive an R rating in over 20 years and the first to feature explicit sex scenes, one of which has caused some controversy in India for its inclusion of the Bhagavad Gita.
