Pakistani fans troll Irfan Pathan after India’s failure in the Emerging Teams Asia Cup -TGN

However, former Indian all-rounder, Irfan Pathan is trending on social media for all the comical reasons. He is mercilessly pranked by some Pakistani fans. It all started when Indian cricket team defeated Pakistan in a high voltage thriller in T20 World Cup 2022, Pathan couldn’t stop himself from going to Pakistan. But little did he know that the tweet would backfire on him after a year.

The tables were turned upside down in the ongoing Emerging Teams Asia Cup with Pakistan A securing their second title after surpassing India A. The Pakistani fans jumped at the opportunity and started trolling the former cricketer.

From hilarious tweets to memes, fans unleashed a relentless deluge of trolls on Twitter highlighting their team’s stellar performance with the bat, courtesy of Tayyab Tahir‘s sensational hit of 108 runs out of 71 balls.

The Indian cricket team chased a massive total of 352 runs for eight, leaving no doubt about the result. The Indian cricket team fought valiantly, but they only managed to score 224 runs in 40 overs, leading to their first defeat in the tournament. Meanwhile, as Pakistan beat India, the fans celebrated with memes, GIFs and astute tweets aimed at Irfan Pathan.

But this is not the first time Pakistani fans have targeted Irfan Pathan. In November 2022, when Pakistan managed to reach the final of the T20 World Cup by beating New Zealand, fans attacked Pathan on Twitter, dragging him left, right and centre. Pathan, however, remained calm and responded gracefully with a touch of humour. He reminded everyone that grace is not limited to winning or losing on the field. He wrote:
