Fans of red, white and royal blue are going crazy for a new, super queer teaser -TGN

If you want to see Taylor Zakhar Perez and Nicholas Galitzine kissing you’ve come to the right place, as brand new Red, white and royal blue teaser just landed.

With just two weeks left until the film adaptation of Casey McQuiston’s queer YA novel hits Amazon Prime Video, and the teasers are already getting too much.

The story follows Alex Claremont-Diaz (played by The pillow box star Zakhar Perez), the son of Ellen Claremont, the first female president of the United States (played by Kill Bill icon Uma Thurman). He has big problems with the British Prince Henry (Cinderella actor Galitzine), and after falling out at Prince Henry’s brother Phillip’s wedding, the couple sent the £75,000 wedding cake tumbling.

The fan-favorite scene was teased back in June with an image of Zakhar Perez and Galitzine on the floor, covered from head to toe in white frosting.

After the confrontation, the handsome duo must pretend to be besties in front of the world, so as not to cause an international relations catastrophe. The more time spent between them and the more texts sent, the more they seem to fall for each other – and eventually Prince Henry goes for a kiss.

Fans of the award-winning book, which has nearly 350,000 five-star reviews Goodreadsreceived their first full trailer for the film earlier this month and the feeling was unanimous: this is the age of cheesy queer cinema.

A second half-minute trailer has now landed, promising more comedy, more chemistry, and more kisses.

In the short trailer, fans get a closer look Star Trek actor Clifton Collins Jr. as Alex’s father Oscar, Dear Victor‘s Rachel Hilson as Alex’s ex-girlfriend and best friend Nora, and The L wordSarah Shahi as Ellen’s irritable Chief of Staff Zahra Bankston.

There’s also a first look at it The living Dead star and trans activist Aneesh Sheth as Amy, a trans Secret Service member determined to ensure that Alex and Prince Henry are kept safe.

Plus, there’s another quick taste of Uma Thurman in possibly her biggest role to date. When Alex plucks up the courage to reveal to his mom that he’s dating someone, her hilarious reflex is, “She’s not a Republican, is she?”

As the 30-second clip comes to a close, fans get another glimpse of what ties the entire movie together: Prince Henry and Alex Claremont-Diaz are making out. There’s even a cheeky bum grab thrown in for good measure.

Immediately after the trailer hit social media, fans flocked to the comment section to express their irrepressible joy as the release date approaches.

“I’m ready, but not ready, but ready, and then not ready. You feed us well today. We’re putting things together little by little,” gushed one fan.

“Not sure I’ll survive the actual duration of this movie if I’m still a mess every 30 seconds we get,” shared another.

A third stated, “My prediction is that the movie will be better than the book.”

However, eagle-eyed megafans noticed two things about the trailer. First, that the caption was like “America, this is *my* first family,” when posted on social media, and it only features Alex Claremont-Diaz’s family. That means a second trailer could be out soon showcasing the characters on Prince Henry’s side.

Second, and perhaps most importantly, June Claremont-Diaz – Alex’s sister in the book – is absent from the trailer and therefore not in the movie. Considering she’s a pretty important part of the novel, there’s a bit of an upset under the Red, white and royal blue community.

That said, the anticipation is really reaching its peak now, with gay romcom aficionados tearing up the walls as they wait to see Alex and Prince Henry’s infamous sex scenes unfold.

Red, white and royal blue lands on Prime Video on August 11.
