Beyond a similarity in their names, the correlation between Ken and Anakin is a perfect one to capitalize on: just like Ryan Gosling’s Ken, Anakin also struggles to identify what standards he is expected to live up to, ultimately crumbling under the weight of that pressure. Meanwhile, at least in the eyes of Anakin, Obi-Wan is “everything.”

Once the second cosplay is ready to be revealed, the cosplayers will likely post another picture with these new versions of the characters together. Barbie-Wan turned a stoic general into a colorful warrior, and similar treatment for Anakin can only be more amusing. The brilliant blend of Barbie and Star Wars invites audiences to look at Obi-Wan and Anakin in a brand-new way, making new connections to the characters while having a giggle at their light-hearted and fun transformations.
