Not James Anderson! Stuart Broad Revealed His Favorite Bowler To Watch-TGN

Stuart Broad is hailed as one of the greatest fast bowlers England has ever produced. He recently announced his retirement from all forms of cricket after the conclusion of the 5th Test match of the Ashes 2023. Throughout his career, Broad formed a highly successful bowling partnership with James Anderson. Together the pair has taken close to 1300 wickets for England.

Stuart Broad Revealed His Favorite Bowler To Watch

During his interview with Sky Sports, Stuart Broad, who recently announced his retirement from the game, showered praise on Pakistan pacer, Shaheen Shah Afridi as he hailed him as one of his favorite bowlers to watch in the world.

Stuart Broad expressed his admiration for the Pakistan pacer and his remarkable presence and energy while running into deliver his spells, noting that such attributes make the young bowler a captivating sight on the cricket field. He said:

Shaheen Shah Afridi is one of my favorite bowlers to watch in the world. He’s got such a presence about him when he runs in, and I love to see bowlers run in with energy and vibrancy to their run up. “

Further, Stuart Broad also said that Shaheen Afridi has the natural skill to swing the ball back into the right-hander. He also said that he has a soft corner for Afridi since he also represents the Nottinghamshire Outlaws in the Vitality T20 Blast, a team for which Broad also plays for. He said:

“He’s got such a natural skill – the way that ball swings back into the right-handers is such a pleasure to watch. And he represented the Notts Outlaws this summer, which is close to my heart. He’s one of the bowlers I admire hugely, and I want to see him do well,

It has to be noted that Afridi is currently representing Welsh fire in the ongoing The Hundred Men’s Competition 2023, where he has picked up 3 wickets at an average of 13.33 and an economy of 8.00. He is also the joint second-highest wicket-taker in the tournament as well.
