The Boys: Gen V Spin-off Trailer shows Supe students killing for a spot in The Seven -TGN

The first trailer for Prime’s Gen V has been released revealing a full look at the ultraviolent The boys spinoff. Billed as a mash-up of Euphoria and the flagship show, Gen V has been awaited for a long time since its announcement. Little is known about the plot and who will emerge from the main show, but the cast includes Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway and Patrick Schwarzenegger. A short Gen V teaser trailer previously gave a glimpse into the show’s depraved school for supes as audiences await its fall release.

Now, Scoop has released an in-depth look at the upcoming show with its first full length Gen V trailer. Check it out below:

The trailer reveals a show jam-packed The boysComedy in style, dark conspiracies and gore galore. In addition, the trailer also teases out guest appearances The boys characters including Ashley Barrett (Colby Minifie), Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit), and A-Train (Jesse T. Usher). The trailer ends with Gen Vrelease date of September 29, 2023.

What to expect from Gen V

Just like every season of The boys, Gen V will consist of 8 episodes in the first season. Based on the new trailer, it looks like the show will be centered on the blood-curdling superstar Marie Moreau, who discovers a conspiracy in Godolkin Univeristy related to Vought. Marie also has lofty ambitions as a supe, hoping to become the first black woman to ever sit on the Seven.

Joining Sinclair, Broadway and Schwarzenegger Gen V will feature Chance Perdomo as metal bender Andre, Maddie Phillips as empath Cate, and Derek Luh and London Thor both playing the gender-shifting Jordan. Jensen Ackles also confirmed a Solider Boy cameo Gen Vwhich will further link the series to the events of The boys. In addition to familiar faces, Gen V will also have a similar style of humor to The boysalongside the franchise’s over-the-top gore and creative superpowers.

While there is still enough for it Gen V explore as a spin-off of The boys, it remains to be seen how closely this spin-off is tied to the flagship series. It is possible Gen V will set the tone for The boys season 4, or keep its identity as a completely separate series in the same universe. Be that as it may, it’s obvious Gen V will have the same look and feel as The boys while retaining its own identity thanks to its new setting and characters.
