Walking Dead Error Spotted By Fan, Jeffrey Dean Morgan Causes Goof In New Episode-TGN

Summary

  • The Walking Dead: Dead City fans have noticed a filming mistake involving Negan actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan and his iPhone.

  • This mistake is reminiscent of the famous Starbucks coffee cup in Game of Thrones, showing how filming mistakes can become viral and compared.

  • Despite the filming mistake, The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 2 will bring new struggles for Negan as he is captured by the Dama and faces unfinished business with Maggie.

The Walking Dead: Dead City‘s eagle-eyed fans have spotted a filming blunder. Filming mistakes are nothing new in TV shows, with one famous example being Game of Thrones‘ Starbucks cup in Winterfell during season 8, episode 4, “The Last of the Starks.” Because of how noticeable an error it was, similar mistakes in other shows and movies have often been compared to it.

Now, TWDU Promos has pointed out a The Walking Dead: Dead City filming mistake, revealing Negan actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan still had his iPhone in his pocket while filming a scene in the series.

The post says, “JDM has been caught too many times,” alongside a laughing emoji, implying this isn’t the first filming mistake to feature Morgan at the forefront. Similar to how a Starbucks coffee cup doesn’t belong in Game of Thrones‘ fantasy setting, an iPhone doesn’t fit within The Walking Dead: Dead City‘s post-apocalypse.

What’s Next For Negan In The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 2?

While Negan won’t be pulling out an iPhone in The Walking Dead: Dead City anytime soon, the show is setting him up for new struggles in season 2. The Walking Dead: Dead City‘s season 1 ending saw Negan captured by the Dama, who threatens Hershel’s life if Negan doesn’t help her conquer all of New York City. When The Walking Dead: Dead City season 2 begins, Negan will be under the Dama’s control.

In addition to dealing with being forced to work for the Dama, Negan also has unfinished business with Maggie, who seems to be traveling back to Manhattan to confront him. Maggie wants to finish things with Negan, though it’s unclear if she wants to kill him to carry out her revenge or save him, so she can better heal from Glenn’s death. If she intends to rescue Negan, then Maggie may be his only hope of escaping New York City and the Dama.

It’s unclear where Negan will end up in The Walking Dead: Dead City season 2, but it appears he will be channeling his old self to take over parts of New York while protecting Hershel. It remains to be seen if Negan decides to try and escape himself, though it’s unlikely since the Dama would kill Hershel and likely destroy the Bricks. With plenty that could happen in the show’s future, The Walking Dead: Dead City will feature an engaging story starring Negan as it continues into season 2.
