(WATCH) Haris Rauf Gives His Fitness Update With A Funny Dance Move-TGN

Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf gave a positive fitness update that will give great relief to the fans. He had picked up a niggle during the Super 4 round game of the Asia Cup 2023 against India and didn’t bowl his full quota of overs. He was then pulled out from the remainder of the Asia Cup, in which Pakistan failed to reach the final, as a precautionary measure.

With Naseem Shah already ruled out from the World Cup 2023, the Pakistan fans had been fretting over Haris Rauf’s fitness too.

However, on Monday, the 29-year-old fast bowler declared that he’s completely fit for the tournament in India. And he confirmed this with a funny dance move.

A press conference was arranged in Lahore on Monday, two days before the Pakistan unit flies to Hyderabad for the warm-up matches. In the press conference, Rauf was asked about his fitness. Sitting on a chair, he did a little dance move and said he’s completely fit.

This will be the first ODI World Cup tournament for Haris Rauf.

About his upcoming experience, Rauf said: “Playing in any tournament for your country is a big deal. My fitness is better than before. We have confidence in ourselves as a team. The team management will decide whether to give me the new ball or the old ball.”

While Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah take the new ball for Pakistan, now in the absence of Naseem, will Rauf be bowling with the new ball?

“I have no specific goal set for the World Cup. More emphasis is on team performance than individual performance,” the fast bowler said.

Pakistan’s first warm-up match is on September 29 against New Zealand in Hyderabad and the second warm-up match is on October 3 against Australia.

Pakistan’s squad for the World Cup 2023:
