The Witcher is no stranger to one-shot battle scenes

Right out the gate, The witcher Season 3, Episode 1 delivers another fast-paced and dynamic one-off battle. This goes back to how The witcher season 1 episode 1 started the entire show with a similar one-shot fight scene in the Blaviken market where Geralt slaughters Renfri’s men, showing how he earned one of his nicknames, the Butcher of Blaviken. While reminiscent of the last one-shot, The witcher Season 3’s Shaerrawedd scene kept the Blaviken fight from being copied as it has a completely different dynamic and style of choreography.

The witcherCavill’s stunt coordinator says it took about four weeks to choreograph and rehearse the scene with Cavill and the stunt team, going through it more than 90 times. However, once on location for filming, they adapted the scene to their surroundings, resulting in the rehearsal not looking the same as the final product. Cavill, who is extremely skilled with a sword, is the catalyst behind creating scenes like the Shaerrawedd fight. The result is like a whirlwind with Geralt in the center as the camera pans around him as he fends off a barrage of attackers.
